Creation of the Five Great Elements

There are some interesting similarities in the creation stories of the Holy Bible and the Vedas. Creation begins with the creation of the 5 great elements, each a derivative of the other: ether, air, fire, water, earth.
The Ether is the first creation beginning with the 'word' of God. The resonance of intention manifest. In the beginning was the Word. The Ether is the substrate of the universe. It is non-cartesion counter-space. All are connected from the center. For example, the effect of gravity is instantaneous even a billion light years away.

Vedic myths of the origin of the Universe have some interesting equivalents. From Komilla Sutton, Personal Panchanga and the Five Sources of Light:

The Pancha Maha Bhuta, The Five Great Elements – The Sheaths to the Pure Consciousness

The consciousness manifested into five different elements – ether, air, fire, water and earth.
Ether was the primary element, which was created from the vibrations of the sound of Aum.
When this ethereal element began to move, it created air, which is ether in action, and created friction which in turn created heat.
The heat created light and from light came the fire element. The fire dissolved some of ether’s elements, which liquefied and became water.
Water solidified to form earth. Ether created the four elements of air, fire, water and earth.

Earth is matter and in matter exists all organic (vegetable, animal and human) and inorganic (the minerals) bodies.
The final element of earth is born by the combination of all elements, and all these elements exist within us.

There are some interesting parallels in Genesis 1:
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters.
3 And God said: 'Let there be light.' And there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.
6 And God said: 'Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.'
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
9 And God said: 'Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear.' And it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called He Seas; and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said: 'Let the earth put forth grass, herb yielding seed, and fruit-tree bearing fruit after its kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth.' And it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, herb yielding seed after its kind, and tree bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.
14 And God said: 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years;
15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth.' And it was so.
16 And God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; and the stars.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.
19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

The creation is via God speaking. The ether can be compared with the 'deep waters' which takes form as the 'firmament' with the Word of God. "Let there be light" is the creation of air, heat, and light via the Word of God. Water was separated from the 'deep waters' in the process, and the waters under heaven were gathered into dry earth.

The Book of John begins:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Speaking is the metaphysical process of creation. What we say resonates with the elements; the universe responds in kind. We call the tune, and the dance commences. ;-) Music creates worlds!

Creation begins with resonance -- and perhaps ends when the resonance stops. The Ether is the most ignored aspect of physics today -- it is never mentioned, yet Nikolai Tesla's work is entirely based upon it, from which alternating current and radio were invented/discovered. We have been told that sound cannot travel in a vacuum because there is no medium to carry the 'waves.' But unexplained still is how higher frequencies (like light, x-rays, infrared, etc.) can travel through a vacuum across an apparent 'empty' universe.

Light may be described as a perturbation of the ether. The speed of light is the rate of induction of the resonance in the ether. No particles are travelling billions of miles. We 'see' the pressure mediation and call it light. The Ether is the medium of the metaphysical. From the Vedic perspective, the five great elements are all derivatives of Light.
